Ian Templeton FCII FIoD FRSA, Managing Director
Ian joined UIA (Insurance) Ltd in November 1998 and was appointed to the Board as Director of Operations at the Annual General Meeting in 1999 and has been Managing Director since June 2002.
Ian is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute, a Chartered Insurer and was President of the Chartered Insurance Institute for 2006/7. He has worked in insurance and financial services since 1967, including roles in sales, marketing and administration with insurance companies and insurance brokers including Cheltenham & Gloucester, Sentry Insurance, Cornhill Insurance, Whitely Henshaw Hindle and Provincial Insurance.
Ian is also a Director of UIA (Insurance Services) Ltd, UIA (Call Centres) Ltd, UIA Lottery Management Services Ltd, Uniservice Ltd, UIA (Trustees) Ltd and a non-executive Director of Legal ATE Limited. In respect of his UIA appointments, he is a member of the Risk and the Nominations and Remuneration Committees and a member of the committee of the UIA Charitable Foundation.
After 10 years as Managing Director Ian has decided that he wishes to retire and he will leave after this year's AGM.
Ian is currently Deputy President of The Insurance Charities, Chair of the Trustees of the Chartered Insurance Institute Pension Fund, a member of the Association of British Insurers General Insurance Forum and a member of the Financial Services Authority Smaller Business Practitioner Panel.

Ian Cracknell, MA FIDM FIoD, Marketing and CEO Designate
Ian was appointed CEO designate with effect from February 2012 and will become CEO in June 2012, following the retirement of Ian Templeton. Ian has been with UIA since February 1997 and was formerly Marketing Director of UIA (Insurance) Ltd, appointed in 1998. He is also a Director of UIA (Insurance Services) Ltd.
Ian has worked for a number of financial services organisations including Sun Life of Canada, AIB Banks Ltd, Cardif, Lombard and Lloyds TSB. He has an MA in strategic marketing and is a Fellow of the Institute of Direct Marketing.
