Ian Cracknell, CEO, MA, FIDM, FIoD
Ian joined UIA in February 1997 and was appointed as Marketing Director of UIA (Insurance) Ltd in 1998.  He has been CEO since June 2012.
Ian has worked for a number of financial services organisations including Sun Life of Canada, AIB Banks Ltd, Cardif, Lombard and Lloyds TSB.  He has an MA in strategic marketing and is a Fellow of the Institute of Direct Marketing.
Ian is also a Director of UIA (Insurance Services) Ltd.

Ben Terrett, Finance Director, BA (Hons), FCA, Cert CII
Ben is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1998.  He worked in general practice until 2004, when he began contracting as an Internal Auditor for the Audit Commission.  Ben joined the UIA Group in February 2005, where he began the process of setting up the Internal Audit function.  He was appointed Internal Audit and Compliance Manager in March 2010, with responsibility for Compliance Oversight.
Ben was appointed to the position of Finance Director with effect from 1 July 2012, receiving FSA approval for the role on 10 July 2012.  Ben is the Company Secretary and is currently guiding the company towards Solvency II implementation, amongst other things.

Chris McElligott, Head of Marketing, BA (Hons), MCIM, MIDM
Chris is a senior marketer and has spent over 20 years working for and developing a number of high profile brands in the UK ranging from FMCG to Financial Services. Chris' career started in direct marketing, and he is now highly experienced in digital marketing and the applications of social media.  He has professional marketing qualifications and remains a lifelong student, and a long serving member of the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing.

Tim Hudson, Head of Operations, BA
Tim is a highly experienced Operations Manager having worked in the insurance industry for more than 20 years.  Starting life working on the IT Helpdesk for PremiumSearch he progressed his career to become IT Manager and moved on to the role of IT and Operations Director for Peoples Choice Insurance, having raised £12m in venture capital to start the company with colleagues. Tim then moved on to become C.O.O of Active Health Partners, defining new processes and technologies related to the early intervention and cost control of liability and injury claims through the use of technology and hosted services. For the past five years Tim has been Operational Claims Manager for Allianz Insurance in Milton Keynes, where he managed a team of 200 and handled in excess of £250m of claims spend per annum.
