Bristol residents may make contents insurance claim after burglary
Residents of a property in Nailsea, Bristol may have to make a claim on their home and contents insurance after a burglary.
A 37-inch television and a Blu-ray entertainment system were among the valuables taken in the incident.
Police have appealed for information about the crime which took place at an unknown time between 09:00 BST on Wednesday April 7th and 09:30 BST on Thursday April 8th.
Items snatched from the house on Southfield Road were marked by Smartwater, which may help officers trace the property.
Smartwater is a fluid used to identify stolen goods and can help reunite victims of theft with their possessions.
Anything daubed with the invisible liquid is assigned a unique "code" similar to human DNA which cannot be removed.
Police use UV light to see the markings before extracting the code and comparing it to information held by the separate company Smartwater on a secure database.
