BMW unveils new green saloon
BMW has launched its new BMW 316d ES Saloon model, which it claims is the most fuel-efficient 3 series that the company has ever produced.
The vehicle is capable of 62.8 miles per gallon and emits just 118g/km of CO2.
Furthermore, these impressive green credentials are backed up by good performance, the manufacturer noted, with the 316d ES Saloon capable of a top speed of 125mph and able to achieve 0-62mph in 10.9 seconds.
The 316d ES Saloon is to go on sale in September and will cost £23,330 on the road.
Anyone looking to purchase a new car should remember to take out car insurance prior to doing so, as it is illegal to drive on UK roads without cover.
Meanwhile, Audi was recently awarded the What Car? Green Award for the second year in a row for its Audi A8 model.
The judges stated that the use of Audi's innovative diesel/petrol-electric hybrid engine had made the A8 the outstanding green vehicle in its class.
