A couple from Chigwell have been injured after they tried to stop a thief stealing their car in an incident which may have resulted in them consulting their car insurance policy."This was an appalling crime and the thief showed no regard for them and they were lucky that their injuries were not more serious," said Police Constable Dawn Barrett. The perpetrator had taken keys from the property and the male resident tried to snatch them back when he realised what was going on.His wife was then targeted - the offender drove straight towards her and she was hurt when the side of the vehicle struck her.Officers have appealed for information about the event which took place at about 20:10 BST on Wednesday May 5th.People living in Lisburn have also experienced a similar theft, according to the BBC, when four men took keys to a car and drove off from Drumard Crescent on May 6th.Posted by Mary WattsDid you know that UIA offers competitive rates on home insurance?
