Home insurance customers may be relieved to hear "prolific" burglar from Essex is jailed
House and contents insurance customers in Essex might be relieved to hear that a burglar dubbed "prolific" has been jailed.
Bradley Wernham, aged 19 from Redmayne Drive, will serve five years in prison after he was convicted at Chelmsford Crown Court today (August 4th).
The perpetrator was spared jail in the past after admitting to over 600 offences across the region - he was handed a community order and "the chance to turn his life around".
Detective Chief Inspector Mark Wheeler said: "[The criminal] was given a chance and chose not to take it. He will now have to bear the consequences of that decision and serve his sentence."
The officer added that Wernham was monitored after his previous hearing but "it became apparent" he was breaking the conditions of his order.
Meanwhile, a crackdown on burglary by the force has led to four arrests being made as part of Operation Agile, which was carried out in Tilbury recently.
