Home insurance policy holders may be pleased to hear of arrest

An Essex man's arrest may have left home insurance customers breathing a sigh of relief.

Jay Williams, 31, of Military Road, Colchester has been charged with three counts of burglary after being apprehended by Essex Police yesterday (February 7th).

The alleged offences are said to have been committed on February 2nd, 3rd and 7th - all in Essex.

He has also been charged with one count of attempted robbery, relating to an incident at an Asda petrol station in Basildon.

News of Williams' arrest could be good news for home insurance customers eager to protect their no-claims bonus, as well as avoid the stress and upset associated with being robbed.

Colchester and the surrounding areas may have experienced a rise in the number of home insurance policies sold in recent days, with cover often the only way of being financially protected against such an occurrence.

A similar spate of burglaries recently took place in Croydon, with 29 incidents being reported in just two days.

What our clients say

Simply the best
"I have had a UIA policy for a long time and no one has ever come close on price. I had to claim for a robbery on a previous policy and it was quick and easy to get everything sorted out."
Mrs Wem, Oldbury
