Importance of cheap house insurance 'emphasised by poll'
The need to secure cheap home insurance has been emphasised by a recent poll suggesting people in Britain have yet to feel the benefits of the end of the recession.">
Of those surveyed in Leeds, 75 per cent felt the government should be doing more to help those worst affected by the downturn, according to Adfero research.
An Asda income tracker survey also said January 2010 was the second consecutive month that UK families were no better off financially.
On the government's role, housewife Carrianne Richards said: "They need to do more to help families such as ours, especially those who can't find work."
Among those polled, many claimed they were just happy to still have a job after the struggles of the past year, while others expressed concern over debt accumulated during the recession.
Keeping up with your home insurance policy and searching around for the best deal is just one way you can cut your outgoings.
