Pet insurance claim to be lodged after Liverpool burglary?
Property owners in Liverpool might find themselves lodging a pet insurance claim as a result of a burglary.
A house on Poppy Lane in Bickerstaffe was targeted in the early hours of July 28th and four St Bernard puppies were snatched, the Liverpool Echo reports.
The resident of the house told the newspaper: "They totally cleaned me out. They took the Xbox, Playstation, Wii, two 42-inch TVs and a watch I bought especially for my granddad, who died in April."
The thieves also got away with a Vauxhall Vectra although the car was later recovered, along with two of the dogs on Herald Avenue in Garson, the publication continues.
Each pooch is said to be worth ?1,000 and the 29-year-old owner is concerned they might have been snatched to participate in dog fights.
Meanwhile, three guinea pigs - with a total value of approximately ?100 - were taken from a home in Essex recently, which could serve as an additional reminder of the importance of having an up-to-date pet insurance policy.
