Hotels 'cutting prices'
Hoteliers around the world are cutting their prices in order to attract more people to stay in their establishments, according to online travel portal trivago.
Anyone planning a trip overseas might want to invest in comprehensive travel insurance in order to financially protect their health and their belongings while they are on holiday.
A spokesperson for the organisation commented: "Sweden is usually a consistently expensive country to visit, however the average hotel prices in Stockholm for July show that they are at their lowest level this year."
The trivago Hotel Price Index recently revealed that in top European cities, the average cost of a hotel room has fallen by 25 per cent over the last 12 moths.
Furthermore, in 38 of 50 European cities, hotel rates have decreased or remained the same over the last year, with a standard double room now costing on average £90 per person per night.
