Travel insurance policyholders could head to Bucharest for vibrant night life and good prices
Those with travel insurance or people looking to take a break before the festive season begins could head to Bucharest - an "up and coming", vibrant and diverse location.
This is according to Maria Iordache, director of the Romanian National Tourist Office for UK & Ireland, who commented following news that Wizz Air is increasing its capacity to the city, bringing its total number of aircraft operating the route to five.
With a great mix of architectural styles and exciting night life, Bucharest is also home to well-priced hotels, she added.
However, aside from the main tourist sights, visitors should head to the back streets for local gems and discoveries.
What's more, Ms Iordache suggested: "The Village Museum gives people an idea about the whole country. It's an open-air museum with more than 300 houses from all over the country."
She went on to recommend a visit to the Palace of Parliament.
