Home insurance cover could be important for Catford fire victim

A household in Catford could be preparing to make a house insurance claim after a fire ripped through the first floor of a property.

The blaze occurred this morning (November 27th) at the home in Grangemill Road, reports the This is Local London website.

Fire crews were called to the scene at 06:30 GMT and were still there more than two hours later, such was the severity of the inferno, the online news source states.

The property owner could be this morning hoping he has effective home insurance cover to protect against such an incident.

Although nobody was hurt in the fire, the first floor is understood to have been gutted and there could be other damage to the terraced house - which may result in a hefty home insurance claim having to be made.

Three women residing in a West Sussex property were faced with a similar situation earlier this week after a blaze at their home left them suffering with smoke inhalation.
