Don't let your festive cheer be dimmed, remember to enjoy the fun and festivities responsibly with our short video guide to staying safe during the winter months.

Making a claim

No one likes making a house insurance claim but unfortunately for most people, there will come a time when you need to. Should this happen though, you can enjoy peace of mind that UIA Mutual will assist you efficiently and professionally.

A video guide to our claims process

Before you claim

UIA Mutual's professional and sympathetic claims handlers will talk you through the house insurance claims process, however, it is recommended that you take the following actions:

Switch off the gas, electricity, water etc. if necessary and if it is safe to do so in order to prevent further damage to your home.

Keep all damaged items for which you are making a claim, as we may need to see them. If there is risk of further deterioration, take photographs of the items too.

Collect all paperwork that supports your claim including receipts, valuations, guarantees and instruction manuals. Photographs of items may help too.

Report theft and malicious or impact damage to the police immediately. They will give you a crime reference number that we will need to process your claim.

No one wants to have to make a claim but, should the worst happen, here at UIA Mutual we want to help make things as easy and quick as possible for you. Choose which method you would prefer to use to make a claim and we will guide you through the process.
